  • PT Nanny needed in Franklin Park, PA

    Dual medical field parents and family of 4 are seeking a Nanny/Family Assistant who is organized, kind, independent, adventurous and looking a long-term fit.

    📍 Location: Frankin Park

    📆 Start: September 2, 2024

    👧 Children: 6yo girl, 4yo boy

    💲 Compensation: $22-$25/hr

    📅 Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 12pm-6pm or Mon-Fri 12pm-6pm

    🕑 Guaranteed hours: 24- 30 hours

    Household Dynamics:

    Nanny duties:

    •During the school year, children need picked up from school each day and taken to their after-school activities: music class, swim lessons, and occasional other activities. Some occasional homework help.

    •From 12-2:30: example activities include: packing lunches, change laundry over, unpack groceries if delivered, make dinner for the kids, vacuuming, packing anything the kids might need for the next day or activities that afternoon, etc.

    •During the summer, children will be picked up from half-day camp and spend the afternoon enjoying a pool membership, museum memberships etc.

    -Girl is allergic to shellfish. Boy has mild asthma (does not take daily medication and has never been hospitalized).

    ABOUT THE COMPANIONSHIP:

    Do you enjoy iced lattes, restaurants, YouTube, walking, shopping, movies, music, painting, and more?

    As a companion, you will move into an individual's large home in the Fox Chapel, PA, area and act as live-in support when additional staff cannot be present. In this 1:1 environment, you can remain committed to outside obligations while receiving free housing in exchange for your companionship. The companion's apartment is fully furnished, air-conditioned, and equipped with a small kitchen and bathroom. In this setting, you can maintain your complete privacy while making the space feel like home!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Daily responsibilities will include light housekeeping, adapting to the person's schedule while promoting independence, health, and wellness, interacting and building meaningful relationships, and integrating the person into your outside life and the community.

    EMPLOYMENT:

    An aspect of the companionship is employment with a well-respected local agency as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). The agency will offer a paid, flexible-hour position as a DSP, and you will have the opportunity to get paid to work with the person you live with! There are other agency support staff and other family members who are available during the day and night to offer additional support to the individual, but when other staff cannot be present, the companion will be there as coverage. The starting pay rate is $20.00 per hour. If you work 37.5 hours a week (considered full-time), you receive PTO and 401k, and you can buy into a reasonably priced medical/dental/vision plan and life insurance.
